25 Years of Business
Tri-State Drilling & Boring was established in 1990 by Neal Faulkner with a focus on environmental and construction based projects. Over time new capabilities were added and the company filled out to be able to handle a wide range of services. Prior to starting Tri-State, Neal began his career as a professional well driller with North-East Well Drilling in 1977 before joining his father Charlie and his two brother’s Tharon and Michael to start Falcon Well Drilling in 1985.

Drilling & Boring all year long!
We like a challenge. It’s what makes Tri-State stand out. Anything is possible with our kind of talent and integrity.
What makes Tri-State special is our capability to drill in adverse conditions or situations. This includes: Angle Drilling, Large Diameter - 24”, monitor wells and geotechnical projects. Our expertise of equipment and experience in the field is unrivaled.
NON DRILLING SERVICES
After your well is completed, Tri-State offers complete installation & servicing of water pumps. We also sell & service water conditioning/filtration systems, typically Water-Soft products.
Tri-State is experienced in drilling standing column wells and installing closed loop systems for your home or business. We partner with engineers or building contractors to ensure proper design and set-up. Last year we drilled & installed a closed loop system for the Sutton Town School.
For commercial jobs we have a Foremost DR12 Air Rotary Drill Rig that can drill 6 inch to 24 inch water wells.
We commonly drill water wells for residential, commercial and municipal projects. Our many years of experience drilling in challenging situations underlines Tri-State’s unique level of qualification for a client’s needs.
For struggling gravel wells we can provide two options to help: surge & pump and airlifting. Either option agitates the sand and fine granules which may be interfering with well performance. If you have a low yielding bedrock well, Tri-State can hydrofrac to create a difference in gallons per minute.
What people are saying
I have worked with Neal for over 25 years and have always been impressed with his willingness to try something different since each water supply, environmental, geothermal, or geotechnical project brings different challenges. When you combine the experience of Neal and his staff with their Foremost dual rotary rig, Tri-State can handle any type of drilling job. They are also fun to work with!
